Snapdragons

Antirrhinum majus

Snapdragons are annual flowers that get their name from how they look like a dragon opening and closing its mouth when squeezed. They can mean grace and strength, the later coming from their natural ability to grow in rocky terrains.

They can also symbolize deviousness. They can be used as a charm against falsehood and in Victorian times they were used as messages between secret lovers. They can symbolize grace under pressure or inner strength.
